On Wednesday morning me and my three cousins and
nana drove to the wave pools in Auckland in our van. 

First we went to go on the slide . 
I slid down the long dark slide with my nana.

Next me and my nana went for  a practice swim.
Me and my nana dived 2m down. I felt brave and strong.
I had fun and I want to go there again .

Manuera and I asked our friends about their favourite cars.

We found out that most people liked Skyline cars.

Going to the famliy reunion.

Family Reunion

On the weekend me and my nana went to a family reunion
across the water from Rawene. We went to Kohukohu marae.
We had a long drive. When I got there I saw my cousins. We
started to play rugby. There were heaps of whanau. We had
good fun playing. We were playing at night. We played spot
light. It was pitch black. We couldn't see properly. It was really
hard to hide but they didn’t find me and I was the last to get
found. When we finished we had boil up at the marae. After
dinner we were waiting for my dad to come. When he came
he had a new harley davidson. It looked cool. I had great fun.
Then we went back in to the marae. We were playing cool
games.

On Saturday me and dad went hunting in Awarua. 

I was excited. 

I couldn’t wait  to go shooting birds but I was tired when we walked so far into the bush. When we got to the bush my dad shot a bird. After his turn it was my turn. I nearly got it. I missed it. I was disappointed.  It was muddy. There were heaps of wild pigs. It was raining. There was thunder. 

I felt scared. We made our tent up and we went in the tent to wait for the rain to stop.

Recount Writing - Going to the farm

Going to the Farm.

On Saturday me and Papa went to the farm in Waima. 

First we moved the cows around the paddocks.

We took them some hay.

The cows rushed over because they were hungry.

Then we fed some scraps to the pigs.

When the pigs saw the scraps they ran over.

They were grunting hard out. 

We had to hop in the mud because

there was too much mud in the pigsty. It was yuk. 

After the pigs we had to round up the sheep.

It was hard work.

We were on the quad taking the sheep
into one of the other paddocks.
It was fun riding on the quad.

When we finished the work on the farm

we were feeling hungry.

I said to my papa, “I’m hungry Papa.

Can we go and get some kai?” Papa said, “OK.”

We jumped on to the truck and drove to

Kaikohe to get some fish and chips.

After that we had a kai.

There was heaps of fish and chips,

potato fritters and hot dogs.  

It was yum.

I think we should do homework every day.

Firstly I think we should do our homework

so we can get 100% of our spelling correct.

every day because it will help us to

achieve our learning goal.

every day because it will help my brain

to get  smart and give it a workout.

Brushing teeth

Teeth are important for chewing our food.

We need to look after them.

So I think we should brush our teeth every day.

Firstly I think we should brush our teeth
every day so that we can make them
clean shiny and get the bacteria out of our mouth.

Secondly I think we should brush our teeth every day because we need to brush the
leftover food away from our teeth.

Thirdly I think we should brush our teeth every day
so that we are looking after the nerves
in our teeth so they don’t get sore.

So that’s why I think we should brush our teeth every day.

Recount Writing-My Papa's birthday.

I am learning to add my thoughts and feelings in my Writing.

My Papa’s birthday.

I went to Auckland with my Papa and Nana and my little

brother.

We went to my big Papa's birthday.

We went on our car. When we got there I saw my cousins and

we played Bull Rush. The fun thing was having cake.

That was yum.

I had heaps of cake. There was heaps of chocolate in the

cake.

It was a cool birthday. We said Karakia before we had cake. My big papa was happy and so were we.

We were all happy to be there.

My Mum is lovely and amazing and I love her.

She mum cooks for me. I love her when she does that for me.

She gets me chocolate.

Mum gives me kisses and hugs.

She does the washing and cleans the house.

She takes care of us all.

On Saturday me and my Papa and Nana
and my little brother went to the beach.
We were having a swim in the water.

After that we went fishing.
We caught a snapper and a kahawai.
It was fat and big and the snapper was too.

It was fun.

The best thing was fishing. It was fun.

Recount Writing-On Sunday.

I am learning to add my thoughts and feelings in my writing.

On Sunday night me and my Aunty and my uncle
went to get fish and chips from town at Suncity.

Then we went back to my nana's house to have a kai.
The kai was yum. The fish was nice and the batter was crunchy.

After that we had a rest.

Next  we made  cup cakes.
The best thing was baking cupcakes with my aunty.
It was fun. We put the cupcakes in the oven.

While we waited for them to bake we made the icing.
It was buttery icing.  When the cupcakes came
out of the oven we had some. They were yummy.
Aunty did not have some because she was asleep.
I tried to wake her up but she didn't want some cup cakes.  
I had two. There was chocolate inside it. I love chocolate.
The cupcake was  like caramel. It was melted chocolate.
It was so yummy.

Recount Writing-Rugby League.

I am learning to add thoughts and feelings in my writing.

On Sunday morning I traveled with Matua Matt
to Whangarei Rugby Fields to play Rugby League.

We put on our boots then we trained. After that we

played the game. We played against Manaia.
We beat them. Manaia got 6 points and we got 10 points.

It was an awesome game.

Recount Writing-Fishing

I am learning to put more ideas in my writing. 
Mrs Paraha helped me to write this story. 
On Saturday me and my 3 papa’s went on Papa Zak’s boat and we fished at Waitangi. 
 We caught snapper and kahawai. I was excited to catch the fish. I was pulling the line in fast. When I just put the rod in the holder the fish bit straight away. It was amazing.Then we went to get some mussels at the Black Rock. We had to go right under the water to get the mussels off the rock. It was kind of scary. The waves were going up on the rocks and splashing. We got 190 mussells. Then we went out more further to get kina. It was right out by this mountain. It was deep, deep, deep. I was scared because I thought there were big sharks there. Next I got sick and dizzy because the boat was going up and down. When it went up it was high. When we were coming back, Papa Zak was going fast. The boat was slapping the water. I was happy to get back to the beach. My day was so cool because I like going fishing.

On Sunday 

On Sunday Me and papa mowed the lawns at home. 
First my papa got the mower out and put it on the grass. 
But we had breakfast then we mowed again. 
My papa went first then I had a turn. 
I liked mowing the lawns. It was cool 
 After that we had lunch and we had some water. 
Then we went back to mowing and we gave our pigs a feed.
