Recount Writing - Going to the farm

Ratu 25th Pipiri 

WALT use the correct structure and language for Recount Writing.

Going to the Farm.

On Saturday me and Papa went to the farm in Waima. 

First we moved the cows around the paddocks.

We took them some hay.

The cows rushed over because they were hungry.

Then we fed some scraps to the pigs.

When the pigs saw the scraps they ran over.

They were grunting hard out. 

We had to hop in the mud because

there was too much mud in the pigsty. It was yuk. 

After the pigs we had to round up the sheep.

It was hard work.

We were on the quad taking the sheep
into one of the other paddocks.
It was fun riding on the quad.

When we finished the work on the farm

we were feeling hungry.

I said to my papa, “I’m hungry Papa.

Can we go and get some kai?” Papa said, “OK.”

We jumped on to the truck and drove to

Kaikohe to get some fish and chips.

After that we had a kai.

There was heaps of fish and chips,

potato fritters and hot dogs.  

It was yum.
