Te reo

We were learning about Maori words and pronouncing the word.

I found it easy to write and to pronounce the Maori word because we've been learning Maori all term.

I found it hard to record and to write a couple of words and a bit mixed up on the Maori words.

I really enjoyed trying to say Maori words and to get better in my Te Reo.

Next time I need to put more interesting Maori words in my writing to impress yous.

Nga tupa tupa o te ruma

We were learning about nga tapu tapu o te ruma.

I found it easy to sound out the Maori word and to pronounce it because I was familiar with a lot of them.

I found it hard to record and kind of pronounce the word.

I really enjoyed sounding out the Maori word and learning better Maori.

Next time I need to learn more about Maori and pronounce Maori words better.

Something Vanished

 

WALT makes inferences about a character's feelings.

His face looks cross as he is thinking really hard about where to find his socks.

His body looks bad-tempered because his socks vanished.

The boy screamed in a loud, sharp way. “Where can my socks be?”.

We were learning about making inferences about character's feelings.

I found it easy to make my reader get interested in my writing.

I found it hard to write about his face and his reaction.

I really enjoyed searching for different words to put interesting words in my writing.

Next time I need to put more punctuation and speech marks in my writing and to make my reader overjoyed.

Partly cloudy

 

We are learning to infer and make predictions when we are reading.

First we had to watch a video about pratly cloudy. Next we had to pause the video and try to explain what the clouds are doing and other clues.

    I found it hard to work and find inferences in the text.

I really enjoyed watching the video and trying to make inferences.

Next time I need to put more information and more facts about partly cloudly.

Public vs Private Info

We are learning about our digital footprint. We talked about Private and public information.  

I learned about not sending personal information to public people.

I already knew about not letting them know my birthday.

Blake NZ VR DLO

Last term Blake NZ visited. We learned about marine Reserves. We were able to use VR sets to explore the oceans.

We were learning about marine reserves.

We found it easy to learn about marine reserves. Because the VR sets made it interesting.

We found it hard to believe that only 0.37% of the New Zealand's coastlines are reserves.

We really enjoyed finding information for the task, and answering the questions.

Next time We need to use better communication, think and work together.

Clickety-clack cicada

 We have been learning about language features during Literacy. The way we have been doing this is by reading and understanding poems. 

Some of the features we identified in the poems are metaphors, verbs, onomatopoeia, and adjectives. 

This week we read Clickety-Clack Cicada by Jill Brasell.

We were learning about locateing language features in a text.

I found it easy to colour because it is interesting.

I found it hard to find language features.

I really enjoyed reading and finding language features

Next time I need to learn more and get use to finding information.

The loaves

We were learning about metaphors. A metaphor compares. 

2 different things  In this poem the author used metaphor  to

compare bread to clouds.

I found it easy to colour because I like colouring.

I found it hard to found imformastion about loaves.

I really enjoyed learning about loaves of bread and shearching about bread because it is interresting

Jk is from the United states. 

Jk has three children. 

I found it easy to researsh imformation. about Jk rowling.

I found it hard to... write the information and make sure it makes sense to read.

I really enjoyed doing mask tools and make them diffrent shapes.

Once upon time the three little green dogs  lived in  an old little house together.  One sunny morning a man came from a rich workplace. He replied  that they have a lot of money so they screamed  “yeah we are rich “.  Then the next day they went to look for big houses.   The big bad wolf  was reading the newspaper when he read that the three little green dogs were rich. Then the wolf whispered to himself “I’ve  got a plan” so he found the three little green dog’s houses.

 He went to the first house and he knocked on the door. Bang! bang! bang! 

“Who is it?'' she replied.  The wolf yelled  “open the door”. The little green dog didn’t answer. So he went crashing through the door and landed on the chair.  He looked at the first little green dog and excitedly asked  “will you marry me” no “she screamed “get out”!

The wolf  never gave up. He went to the second  house then he spoke to the other green dog “will you marry me please!” but she replied  “no! out now”!. 

He went to the third house. He went through  the door and ran to the bed room and  the big bad wolf asked her
“Will you marry me”? She yelled  yes”!

Then the big bad wolf replied ``stop” then he grabbed the green dog and took it. She went  to the train with the wolf   then she tried to talk to him but he still replied stop”. When they got home someone mumbled “help please “then she laughed and told him “see, you should have listened when I wanted to speak. Someone else lives here too”! The big bad wolf ended up leaving because no one was talking to him and he felt left out
